In Thai culture, a person who is jai yen is patient, forgiving, adaptable to the unpredictable, and can stay calm even during times of immense stress.

2017 for me was an opportunity to hone these qualities and I'm continuing to develop them as I transition into the new year. I'm learning to accept that uncertainty is an intrinsic part of being a younger person. I'm learning to focus on my shortcomings less and celebrate my accomplishments more.
I'm fighting to be present in every moment.
I'm striving to practice gratitude everyday.
I'm taking it day by day.
