about

everyone deserves a healing space, whether that's spending time with family, sports, rock collecting, the list goes on.

therapy is about music and the space that it creates for me.
it's about what I've learned that music can do for other people.
art gives you a chance to imagine your own world. you can tell your story in a world that often doesn't acknowledge our existence.
you can create your own world.
you can create on sundays in the comfort of your room just for the love, or you can put together a project like this to share with the world.
regardless of why you do what you do, the love is always there, the therapy is always there.

I remember @tokimonsta once saying that she missed that personal type of music that people used to make.
when I was trying to finish this project, I had a bunch of friends I randomly texted asking them for sounds. I was like "yo, can u record yourself on your phone, I don't care what u do, you can fart on your phone with your voice recorder, I'll make it work."
luckily they were down and many of them sent me an array of dope stuff, from Javi turning on his vacuum cleaner to Nick brushing his teeth, and everything in between. It's dope because it feels like in a way they were there with me, helping me finish the project. Their spirit is intertwined in the music. it makes me remember the friendships that I've been blessed to cultivate over the years. Thank you all for sharing with me your sounds. Thanks for reading this essay I wrote, I hope some of it resonates, and helps remind you to make time for the therapy in your life. hope ya'll enjoy the project.
